Project Manager (e-commerce projects)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work on new & existing long-term projects based on a leading e-commerce platform
  • Manage complex e-commerce projects using Agile methodologies through the entire software development life cycle including requirement analysis, estimation, conceptual and technical planning, design, implementation, deployment, support & maintenance
  • Manage the workload of internal projects
  • Lead the project analysis and estimation process to make sure all requirements are defined and well understood by the whole team and communicated to everyone involved in the process
  • Identify all the internal and external resources required to complete the project successfully 
  • Allocate resources and coordinate the efforts of team members to deliver projects within the constraints of scope, schedule, budget, quality and available resources for multiple clients
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities - coordinate tasks between the client & the team, keep the information flow going, organize meetings, keep the client up-to-date, ensure that the project is on track and resolve any issues in a timely manner 
  • Effectively monitor and present project progress and status updates, prepare periodic reports for the clients, team members and upper-management
  • Effectively set and manage client expectations
  • Create project plans, scope documents, schedules and forecasts 
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, manage the project to the client’s budget, and recommend budget changes when necessary. Provide timely communication on the impact of changes and decisions
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Introduce & implement process improvements
  • Gather requirements by direct interactions with clients; document, elaborate, refine and improve them
  • Analyze and describe in document business processes
  • Prepare functional specification documentation and define non-functional product requirements
     

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience leading software development teams
  • Very good understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle
  • Very good understanding of traditional (PMI, Prince2, RUP and etc.) and Agile (SCRUM, Kanban, XP, Lean and etc.) project management methodologies, processes and standards
  • Experience in managing e-commerce or web projects
  • Excellent level of written and verbal communication and presentation skills – both in English and Bulgarian
  • Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple development projects for multiple clients simultaneously
  • Proactivity and ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Methodical and structured approach with strong attention to details and quality
  • Ability to understand in details and describe in written all client’s requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to quickly assess a situation and devise a solution before an issue turns into a problem
  • Take responsibility for the timely and quality delivery of the project milestones
  • Proficient in Google apps (Calendar, Drive), MS Office, Slack/Skype
  • Experience with PM software (JIRA, Asana, ActiveCollab, etc.)
  • Motivation and willingness to learn new things, passionate about technology and committed to continuous professional development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical details

Advantages (desired but not a must):

  • Technical background or Web development experience is a strong advantage
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and projects
  • Experience in managing multiple projects, of multiple types (time & materials / fixed price and in multiple methodologies)
  • Seek for creative approach - "out of the box" solutions in different situations
  • Certification in Project management
  • University degree in Management, Computer Science, Economics or related study background
