The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1400 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. What you'll do

As a DevOps Engineer overseeing NetApp Enterprise storage, Swift, and Ceph infrastructure, the responsibilities would include:

  • Manage storage environments for various external and internal cloud solutions, ensuring they meet performance expectations.
  • Maintain and update NetApp storage systems for optimal performance, capacity, and security.
  • Configure, optimize, and provision Swift and Ceph storage infrastructures within enterprise environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance or reliability issues across all storage systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Ops services, focusing on process design, tool advancement, operational efficiency, reduced TCO, support quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other Cloud infra teams for efficient integration of storage systems with other infrastructures.
  • Automate recurring storage administration tasks using DevOps practices.
  • Develop and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes, following best practices.
  • Document system changes and updates; provide training to team members.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to enhance the organization's storage systems.
  • Provide on-call support for operational issues.

What you bring

The qualifications and attributes of the ideal candidate for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 8 years of technical storage expertise in a customer-facing role.
  • In-depth knowledge of storage concepts and architectures, particularly with NetApp Storage.
  • Experience managing and operating Ceph or OpenStack Swift object storage solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT processes and best practices for backup, recovery, NAS/SAN, and object technologies.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on supporting enterprise SAN, NAS, and Object infrastructure through design, tiering, installation, configuration, and maintenance planning.
  • Fast learner with the ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, motivation, and exceptional customer service, project management, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in the DevOps framework and familiar with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and Prometheus, as well as Agile methodologies.
  • Experience operating and managing Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and health.
  • Ability to use scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or GoLang for task automation and workflow improvement.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
