The SAP CPIT Product, Data and Technology organization has the purpose to “Deliver and Run the Intelligent Enterprise”. CPIT is SAP’s technology backbone and most compelling reference customer, and as such, we influence SAP product development and strategy, with our customer experience at heart. To support the updated SAP AI Strategy and the company vision on Generative AI, we need to strengthen our team to accelerate delivery of Data & AI Cloud Solutions.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a MLOps Engineer with solid background in Machine Learning and DevOps and with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our Data Science, AI and Big Data team and work on innovation projects.

As a MLOps Engineer, you will join the AI Platform Enablement agile team and work closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, Product Owner and Scrum Master in an agile, cross-functional setup to help to deliver AI infrastructure as well as ML models for our customer’s use cases to provide business benefits and tackle customer’s pain-points through AI technologies. This will include working in a hybrid environment, handling multiple types of requests and collaborate across several nationalities and continents. Your passion for novel technologies, attention to detail, along with your collaborative mindset on how to improve processes, will ensure a continuous improvement across all teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work on development and conceptual tasks along the entire AI product lifecycle as well as on technology-related enablement of AI Platform users within an agile team
• Contribute to building of reusable software components required for fast delivery of productive ML models, increased process automation and accelerated adoption of MLOps best practices
• Continuous learning and familiarization with state-of-the-art algorithms and technologies in agile software engineering, MLOps and AI
• Openness to conduct data science tasks in our AI projects including knowledge in Python libraries and Machine Learning frameworks
• Implement high-quality ideas efficiently, with a focus on technical expertise and attention to detail
• Get involved in all aspects of the entire solution lifecycle, from idea creation to productization

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You are interested in AI/ML and MLOps topics. You also have experience with Python backend development and DevOps practices. Besides, you possess communication skills and can work effectively in a team and with stakeholders. You are committed to continuous learning & sharing skills to others.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering or related technical fields
• 3-5 years of work experience in data science and software development
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts with focus on MLOps
• Strong experience in DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform
• Experience in Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps and related tools for successful end-to-end deployment and management of machine learning solutions will be considered a plus
• Experience in Azure Databricks and/or Spark will be considered a plus
