DevOps Engineer for internal SAP CI/CD platform

What you`ll do

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Kubernetes native development and infrastructure management to develop and operate highly reliable, available, and performance services part of SAP CI/CD platform. This platform enables SAP cloud development teams to deliver customer value continuously, faster, and more reliably than ever before. It aims at delighting developers and DevOps teams by reducing cognitive load, freeing up time and resources, and focusing on delivering more value to SAP's customers.

You will be part of international agile scrum team of curious developers who:

• Operate an internal GitOps environment providing SAP teams the opportunity to easily run their services on a standardized platform the best way possible.
• Provide internal GitHub Action runners enabling developers to build compliant products.
• Take an end-to-end responsibility for the services – from the code to the productive environment.
• Maintain high availability – with auto-scaling and zero-downtime maintenance wherever possible.
• Follow agile practices and principles being part of a larger SAFe setup, aiming at end-user satisfaction.
• Work with the latest cloud technologies and architectures.

What you bring

• Degree or comparable qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Quickly analyze and solve problems in a worldwide team setup.
• Excellent team player, passionate about his/her work, self-motivated and driven.
• Very good English language skills.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Should have experience with leading cloud providers (GCP, AWS, etc.).
• Must have experience with Kubernetes & container technologies:Proficiency in container technologies (e.g., Docker).
  Hands-on experience with Kubernetes principles and architecture.
  Expertise in developing and managing Kubernetes Operators using Golang.
  
• Infrastructure Management & DevOps Practices:Background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
  Experience in CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions.
  Knowledge of GitOps principles and practices for managing Kubernetes clusters is a plus.
  
• Programming & Scripting:Experience with Python for scripting, automation, and infrastructure tooling.
  Knowledge of Typescript for application development is a plus.
  Experience with Git for version control.
  
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting:Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk to ensure system reliability.
  Ability to troubleshoot issues in cloud-native environments.
